We love our preschool room (Ladybird Room) and last year made some wonderful plans to transform it and make it even better for the children. The refurbishment is happening in 2 phases. The first phase was to rework the layout and purchase new furniture and resources to allow further independence for the children and add extra learning opportunities.
When Should I Secure My Place?
Our Register for our preschool (Ladybird) room is open from 1 year before your child is due to start. Children can join at any time throughout the year if places are available. We can’t stress enough how important it is to book early if you want to guarantee your place and the sessions you desire. Demand for our busy preschool is high and we hate to turn people away but this does happen termly. Our register is currently open for September 2022 & January 2023 but places are now quite limited. Our preschool accepts the free government entitlement of 15 or 30 hours!
Why Choose Apple Trees?
We pride ourselves on our homely feel and the individual care given to every child. As we are asmall independent setting the children that attend Apple Trees are able to build very strong bonds with their carers which is clear to see throughout the whole nursery. Although it’s imperative that all staff are skilled and hold relevant qualifications to look after and teach the children in their care, this is not the only factor we consider when employing staff. We look at experience, personality, individual skill sets and make sure they are the right fit for our team. We have a range of staff with differing ages, lots of which are parents themselves. Parents often complement and praise our practitioners and the care they give to their children.
Reaching Their Full Potential
Further more we strive to give all of our children the best opportunities we can. We have 2 gardens, a vegetable patch, a mud kitchen and an outdoor classroom. The children can enjoy external classes that come in such as RugbyTots, Tinymites Music, Kidslingo French Class, and messy play. We host visits from the travelling farmyard, fire engines, police cars and ambulances. We take advantage of our village setting with walks in the local area, visits to the church and time in the park. New for 2022 is the development of a large allotment patch into another extensive outdoor learning environment similar to a forest schooling area. This is due to be completed by Spring.
Fees & What’s Included
All children over three are entitled to 15 hours free childcare from the term following their 3rdbirthday. Children with working parents may also qualify for 30 hours funding which can all be taken here or split between a nursery school and Apple Trees. The beauty of our setting is that it is open from 7.30am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday all year round so you can choose hours to suit your working pattern or take a term time only contract*. Included in our fees are all nappies, wipes, home cooked meals, snacks, milk and extra curricular activities. All you need to do is drop your child off with a change of clothes and you are good to go. We also accept 2 year old funding for those that qualify. If you want to start preschool before your child qualifies for any funding that’s fine. Our fees will reflect the hours your child attends and we will be happy to provide you with a quote based on your individual requirements.
